Hearne Principal at Dodson Mike Hearne, a native of Springhill, Louisiana, and a 38-year veteran teacher, coach, and administrator, assumed duties as principal of Dodson High School in August. Mr. Hearne is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, and University of Louisiana in Monroe, where he earned his Masters in Administration and Supervision. He also served as a graduate assistant basketball coach at ULM during the careers of Calvin Natts, Jamie Mayo, and Anthony Johnson. He taught school at Sikes and Winnfield, where he coached basketball for four years, He later served 11 years at Ouachita Parish High School, and 16 years at West Ouachuta Parish High School, including eight years as assistant principal. He and his wife, the former Nancy
Crippen, daugher of the late J,.J. Crippen of Winnfield,
live at their home on Caney Lake. They have two daughters
and a son, and four grandchildren. |
